Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Jetlagg Company ("Jetlagg," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to the Jetlagg mobile application, website, and related features, content, communications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing the Service, or selecting an acceptance control, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use Jetlagg

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so, if we previously suspended or terminated you for violating these Terms, or if you are required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.

You represent that the account information you provide is truthful and current. You may maintain only accounts that belong to you, and you may not transfer your account without our written permission.

2. What Jetlagg provides

Jetlagg helps adults discover other travelers and locals, use Friend or Dating mode, create profiles, match, communicate, join group conversations, and discover local events or places. Features may vary by location, device, account, or release.

Jetlagg is a technology platform. We are not a travel agent, tour operator, transportation provider, accommodation provider, event organizer, employment service, background-check service, emergency service, or guarantor of any user's identity, intentions, statements, conduct, compatibility, or safety. We do not control what happens when users interact on or off the Service.

3. Your account and security

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and devices secure. Notify us promptly through the in-app support channel or the Contact page at https://www.jetlagg.app/ if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share login credentials, create an account for another person without authorization, impersonate another person or organization, misstate your age or location, or use another person's photos or identity.

We may require steps intended to reduce fraud or abuse, such as email, phone, selfie, identity, or device verification. Any badge or verification result is limited to the method used and is not a background check or a guarantee of identity, character, or safety.

4. Safety comes first

Online and in-person interactions carry risk. Use judgment, protect your personal information, meet in public, tell someone you trust where you are going, arrange your own transportation, and contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger. Do not rely on Jetlagg for emergency assistance.

You decide whether to communicate with, meet, travel with, or attend an event with another user. Jetlagg does not endorse users, venues, hosts, listings, or events and is not responsible for conduct outside the Service. Location and event information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.

Use reporting and blocking tools whenever appropriate. We may review reports and available account information, preserve relevant records, restrict features, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, or contact authorities where permitted or required. We cannot promise a particular outcome or response time.

5. Community rules and zero tolerance for abuse

Jetlagg has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not use the Service to create, upload, send, solicit, promote, or facilitate:

harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, or targeted abuse;
sexual exploitation, trafficking, prostitution, non-consensual sexual content, sexual content involving minors, grooming, sextortion, or requests for sexual services;
nudity, pornography, graphic sexual content, or content designed primarily for sexual gratification;
violence, self-harm encouragement, dangerous acts, illegal drug sales, weapons trafficking, fraud, scams, or other unlawful activity;
another person's private information, intimate images, or location without permission;
spam, deceptive promotions, pyramid schemes, commercial solicitation, or unauthorized advertising;
content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
malware, scraping, automated account creation, unauthorized bots, security testing without permission, or interference with the Service; or
conduct intended to evade a block, suspension, moderation decision, age restriction, or safety control.

Flirting and consensual adult dating are permitted, but consent must be affirmative, ongoing, and respected. A match, message, profile setting, or prior interaction is not consent to sexual activity, explicit content, sharing intimate material, or meeting in person.

We may remove content or accounts that violate these Terms or create risk, whether or not the conduct is specifically listed. Repeated or severe violations may result in immediate termination and referral to law enforcement or safety organizations where appropriate.

6. User content

"User Content" includes profile text, prompts, photos, videos, travel plans, event submissions, messages, reports, and other material you submit or make available through the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Jetlagg a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, display, communicate, and distribute User Content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, moderate, and promote the Service consistent with your settings and the Privacy Policy. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems. After account closure, Jetlagg will retain personal information for three months and then delete or de-identify it, except where longer retention is required by law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and that it complies with these Terms. Do not post content you do not want other users to see or save. Other users may screenshot or redistribute information despite our rules.

Feedback and suggestions may be used without restriction or compensation, but we will not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

7. Location, maps, travel plans, and events

Location-based features may use a city you choose, approximate location, or precise device location, depending on the feature and permissions you enable. You can change device permissions, but some features may stop working. Do not use location features to track, stalk, expose, or endanger another person.

Map pins, distances, event details, venue information, schedules, availability, prices, and directions can change. Verify important details with the relevant provider. Jetlagg is not responsible for third-party events, venues, transportation, accommodations, or purchases.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may require payment or a recurring subscription. Before purchase, the applicable checkout screen will show the price, billing period, renewal terms, and material restrictions.

If you purchase through Apple, Google, or another app marketplace, that provider processes payment and its terms govern billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds, except where law requires otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the marketplace or other purchase channel before the renewal date. Deleting the app or your Jetlagg account may not cancel a marketplace subscription.

Prices, taxes, and features may change prospectively. We will provide notice when required. Promotional offers may have separate eligibility and expiration terms and may not be combined.

9. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, Jetlagg grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, decompile, bypass, frame, mirror, or create derivative works from the Service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction. You may not access non-public systems, probe security, harvest data, train a model on Service content, use automated means to interact with the Service, or use the Service to build a competing dataset or product without written permission.

10. Intellectual property and infringement

Except for User Content, Jetlagg and its licensors own the Service, including software, design, branding, and content. These Terms do not grant rights to Jetlagg names, logos, or marks.

If you believe content infringes your copyright or other rights, submit a notice through the Contact page at https://www.jetlagg.app/ with identification of the work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy and authority statement, and your physical or electronic signature.

11. Third-party services

The Service may link to or interoperate with app stores, maps, payment providers, social platforms, venues, events, and other third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Jetlagg does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, or transactions.

12. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using Jetlagg at any time and may request account deletion through the in-app deletion tool or the privacy-request method described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, or preserve information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or third parties, investigate misconduct, comply with law, prevent fraud or security incidents, or protect the Service. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice or an opportunity to appeal.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, licenses needed for retained records, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute terms.

13. Changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, secure, or supported on every device or in every location.

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice through the Service, email, or another reasonable method before it takes effect when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." JETLAGG DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

JETLAGG DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF USER PROFILES, LOCATIONS, TRAVEL PLANS, EVENT INFORMATION, MATCHES, RECOMMENDATIONS, OR USER STATEMENTS; THAT USERS ARE WHO THEY CLAIM TO BE; OR THAT INTERACTIONS WILL BE SAFE, COMPATIBLE, OR SUCCESSFUL. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES A WARRANTY OR RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JETLAGG AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, USER CONDUCT, OR OFFLINE INTERACTIONS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEIR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID JETLAGG FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, which may include liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by negligence in some jurisdictions.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jetlagg and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This duty does not apply to the extent a claim results from Jetlagg's own unlawful conduct.

17. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim, you and Jetlagg agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it informally after written notice describing the issue and requested relief. Send notice through the legal contact identified on the Service. This requirement does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using an eligible small-claims process.

Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and the laws of the State of California, without regard to California's conflict-of-law rules. Any lawsuit that is not eligible for small claims court will be brought in a state or federal court located in California, subject to any non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere.

18. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; Jetlagg may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of the Service. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, SMS Terms, purchase terms, and any feature-specific terms form the entire agreement about the Service.

SMS Terms

Effective date: September 24, 2026

These SMS Terms apply when you opt in to receive text messages from Jetlagg. They supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Program description

Jetlagg may offer separate text-message programs for:

Transactional messages: account verification, sign-in codes, security notices, service updates, match or message alerts, event reminders, and other messages requested as part of the Service.
Marketing messages: launch news, promotions, product updates, local events, and offers.

Enrollment in one program does not automatically enroll you in another. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Service.

2. Consent and message frequency

By affirmatively opting in, you authorize Jetlagg Company to send recurring text messages to the mobile number you provide, including by automated technology, for the program described at the point of consent. Message frequency varies based on your account activity, selections, and the program.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the number and are authorized to consent. If your number changes or is reassigned, opt out before discontinuing it and update your account.

3. Costs and carrier terms

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's terms govern your wireless service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS may not be available through all carriers, devices, or locations.

4. Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to any Jetlagg message to opt out of that text program. We also intend to recognize END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT. After an opt-out request, you may receive one confirmation message. We will honor other reasonable methods of revoking consent as required by law.

Reply HELP for help, use in-app support, or visit https://www.jetlagg.app/. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop essential non-marketing messages you separately requested, such as one-time authentication codes. To stop all non-essential texts, change your notification settings or contact support.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle phone numbers, consent records, messaging data, and related information. Jetlagg Company keeps this data in house and does not share mobile information, text-message opt-in data, or consent records with third-party data vendors or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS transmissions necessarily pass through mobile carriers and network operators. We may disclose information when required by law.

6. Changes and termination

We may change or end a text program. If a material change affects the scope of your consent, we will provide notice and obtain new consent where required. We may suspend SMS access for misuse, fraud, or security risk.
